Abstract

As the third part of the Digital Practice Trilogy, this paper uses the measurements established in the second part to respond, one by one, to the six propositions of the first part, answering whether a knowledge agent can learn on its own. The paper is updated periodically and keeps five writing rules: use only the measurements of the second part; register the rules of interpretation before the data; record negative results as carefully as positive ones; keep evidence and interpretation separate; and take no human as the yardstick and make no rankings. Each proposition is recorded with only one of three outcomes — supported, not supported, or not interpreted — and the paper explains what will be done when a proposition is not supported, as well as the several answers that may finally be reached.

Keywords: digital practice; long-term observation; rules of interpretation; preregistration; falsification
