Abstract

As the second part of the Digital Practice Trilogy, this paper maps the shared premises, ten design requirements and limits set out in the first part, one by one, onto the actual systems of Deyuan Guanyin Hall: the Sutra Library databases and citation rules; division of roles and Dharma-name records; comparison with the original scriptures and records of divergent readings; the generative-agent architecture and self-directed study; indicators of convergence and divergence; doctrinal-classification assessment; measurement of the ten dharmas and of innovation; proctoring, admonition and duty posts; and the ways in which what is learned is passed on to lamp-receivers and to entrusted digital elders. For every mechanism the paper marks its current status and explains what data it produces for the third part.
